- 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Meet with your Workshop Instructor
Thursday, May 31 (Chadron State College)
- 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. Continental Breakfast (Sandoz Atrium)
- 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Workshop Session (1 of 4) (Locations across campus TBA)
- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch On Your Own
A list of participating restaurants will be provided.
Lunch-time readings or roundtables will be announced. - 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Workshop Session (2 of 4) (Locations across campus TBA)
AFTERNOON & EVENING ACTIVITIES (times and locations will be posted)
Meet at designated locations for field trips and activities in the afternoon (Fort Robinson State Park, Chadron State Park, Museum of the Fur Trade, etc. Writing excursions may be arranged, as well as nature hikes/writing retreats.)
Friday, June 1 (Chadron State College)

- 3:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. SPECIAL SESSION (Open to ALL Workshop Participants)
A reading and discussion with Laura McNeal, author of the 2010 National Book Award Finalist Dark Water and coauthor, with Tom McNeal, of four acclaimed books for young readers.

Saturday, June 2 (Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center Atrium—Open to the Public)
WRITING FESTIVAL
(Throughout the Day: Booksellers, Vendors, Sessions with Publishers, etc… TBA)
- 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Activities may include readings from session participants, talks by authors, publishers and others associated with writing.
- 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Banquet (extra charge)
- 1 p.m. Keynote Address by Tom McNeal, author of Goodnight, Nebraska and, more recently, To Be Sung Underwater, named one of USA Today's Top Five Novels of 2011 (and named a BEST BOOK of 2011 by The Wall Street Journal, The Seattle Times, Booklist, and Shelf Awareness).
